EDMONTON, April 23 /CNW/ - Serenic Corporation (TSX-V:SER), ("Serenic" or
the "Corporation"), a leading publisher of financial management and business
operations software for nonprofits, international non-governmental
organizations (NGOs) and the public sector, announced today that Serenic
Navigator has been selected by the Arbor Day Foundation, a nonprofit
conservation organization with a mission to inspire people to plant, nurture
and celebrate trees.
Based in Nebraska, the Arbor Day Foundation has nearly one million
members who lead the way to help individual citizens plant and care for trees
to enrich the environment. The Foundation plants and distributes nearly 11
million trees each year and strives to increase awareness of the benefits of
trees - especially through National Arbor Day, celebrated in the U.S. and
Ontario this year on Friday, April 24, and during the first full week of May
in Nova Scotia. Through producing high-quality, easy-to-use educational
materials, the organization helps to make tree planting and care something in
which nearly everyone can be involved.
The Arbor Day Foundation builds quality programs that further its
mission. Tracking its funding sources and programs called for more current
technology, and the organization wanted to upgrade from its existing FundWare
system and internally developed solutions. The Foundation selected Serenic
Navigator after reviewing both Serenic's solution and another Microsoft
Dynamics NAV product.
"We needed integration with other systems, including CRM, to build a full
360 degree view of our members, their orders and their preferences," said Gary
Deemer, the Arbor Day Foundation's accounting director. "With Serenic
Navigator, staff at multiple locations will benefit from easy access to
information and efficiency in creating reports."
A total of 86 users will access Serenic Navigator - certified for
Microsoft Dynamics NAV - and AwardVision, Serenic's grant management product.
The fully integrated product suite also includes advanced budgeting
capabilities, which will allow the organization to combine financials,
procurement and grant management.
"Serenic Navigator creates efficiencies that enable organizations like
the Arbor Day Foundation to spend more time on their high-impact core
programs," said Serenic CEO and President Randy Keith. "Giving the Foundation
greater scalability to handle more transactions will help them manage growth -
ultimately benefitting the environment with each tree planted."
