Aptilon Announces On Track Performance

MONTREAL, April 8 /CNW/ - Aptilon Corporation (the "Corporation") (TSX
Venture Exchange: APZ), a leader in multi-channel access to physicians for
pharmaceutical marketing programs, today announced that it has taken major
steps forward in its business performance over the last six months. The
company has renewed contracts for 2009 with its existing roster of top ten US
pharmaceutical clients for an approximate total of USD $6.3 million (CAD $7.5
million), successfully moving several clients from first stage engagements to
enterprise-level rollouts. In the first quarter, the company also signed
contracts for five additional pharmaceutical brands for an approximate total
of USD $1.2 million (CAD $1.5 million).
As part of its three-prong approach to grow through alliances as well as
organically and by acquisition, Aptilon has also begun collaborative projects
with two major health information companies. To capitalize on this business
potential, Aptilon has released AxcelRx(SM) RepCentral, the latest version of
its award-winning live video detailing platform that enables pharmaceutical
sales representatives to connect with healthcare professionals. Industry
research leader Gartner has cited Aptilon as a "2009 Cool Vendor" for this
development. Said analyst Dale Hagemeyer, "Aptilon isn't so much a technology
offering as it is a technology applied to a specific industry problem in a way
that embodies how reps and practitioners interact. The result is greater
overall access to the practitioner, for a longer duration each time, and with
greater impact."
"Aptilon has successfully negotiated the transition from starter projects
on a limited software platform to major, ongoing work with top US
pharmaceutical and marketing companies based on leading technology in our
field," said Roger Korman, Chairman and CEO of Aptilon. "In addition, we have
developed a network of business relationships with major service providers in
the health care marketing arena that will yield direct benefits to our
business in 2009 and beyond. Together, our current clients and partners
provide a solid base for the company to grow in the future."
