OTTAWA, April 4 /CNW Telbec/ - The Honourable Lawrence Cannon, Minister
of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, today announced the appointment
of Ms. Deborah Tropea to the board of directors of the Federal Bridge
Corporation Limited for a term of four years.
"I am very pleased that Ms. Tropea has agreed to serve on the board of
the Federal Bridge Corporation Limited," said Minister Cannon. "Her experience
in business and financial management will serve the board well."
Ms. Deborah Tropea obtained a bachelor of science degree from the
University of Guelph. She holds designations as a chartered accountant and
certified financial planner. She currently is principal accountant with
Johnston Beaudette Chartered Accountants, where she provides accounting,
consulting and tax planning services for small and medium-sized businesses,
and manages audits of local organizations, municipalities and businesses.
Ms. Tropea previously managed human resource transition and financial services
for Levi Strauss & Co. (Canada) Inc. and, as a senior financial manager, has
provided accounting and auditing services to clients in retail, manufacturing,
construction and the public sector. She is active in her professional
community through her role as treasurer, SD&G Community Futures Development
Corporation, and participates on the Canada Revenue Agency / Tax Practitioners

engage in a range of activities to ensure that the bridges, tunnels, roadways
and other structures under their control are safe, modern, efficient,
environmentally sound and well maintained.
