OTTAWA, Jan. 31 /CNW Telbec/ - The Honourable Lawrence Cannon, Minister
of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, today announced the appointment
of Ms. Sara Mudge to the board of directors of the Saint John Harbour Bridge
Authority for a period of three years.
"I am pleased that Ms. Mudge has agreed to serve on the Authority's board
of directors," said Minister Cannon. "Along with her professional skills, she
brings a proven commitment to the Saint John community, which will benefit the
Saint John Harbour Bridge Authority."
Ms. Sara Mudge holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical
engineering from the University of New Brunswick. She currently is a broadband
circuit coordinator for Bell Aliant, a regional communications provider in New
Brunswick. She is also a French language instructor at New Brunswick Community
College in Saint John. Ms. Mudge volunteers as a member of several
community-based committees, including the board of the Greater Saint John
Community Foundation, and the Saint John Board of Trade's membership
activities committee. She also serves as co-chair of the arts and culture
committee for Fusion, a local social and networking organization.
The Saint John Harbour Bridge Authority owns, operates and maintains the
highway toll bridge. It was established in 1962 through a New Brunswick
