Annual General Meeting - Results

    ST. JOHN'S, NL, Dec. 3 /CNW/ - Canadian Imperial Venture Corp. ("CIVC" /
the "Company") held its Annual General Meeting ("AGM") on November 30, 2007 at
the Holiday Inn, Stephenville, NL. The following individuals were re-elected
to the Board of Directors:

    - Steven Millan, P.Geo.
    - Gerard Edwards, MBA
    - Kirby Mercer, BA
    - Robert Smiley, BA, LL.B

    In addition, the following new Directors were elected to the Board:

    - Robert Dubois
    - Jerome (Jerry) Byrne, P.Eng.

    Former Director, Mr. Jack Bolter, elected not to stand for nomination,
having served on the Board for over 10 years. On behalf of the Board, the
Chairman thanked Mr. Bolter for his invaluable contribution to the Company.
    At the AGM, BDO Dunwoody LLP of Calgary, Alberta was elected as the
Company's Auditors and the Company's Stock Option Plan was approved by
disinterested shareholders.
    Following the Company's AGM, a Board of Director's meeting took place
wherein the following were re-elected as Officers of the Company:

    - Steven Millan, P.Geo., Chairman, President and CEO
    - Gerard Edwards, MBA, Chief Financial Officer
    - Kirby Mercer, BA, Vice President and Corporate Secretary

    The following Directors were appointed to the Audit Committee:

    - Robert Smiley, LL.B (Chairperson)
    - Robert Dubois
    - Jerome (Jerry) Byrne, P.Eng.

    The following Directors were appointed to the Compensation Committee

    - Robert Smiley, LL.B (Chairperson)
    - Robert Dubois
    - Jerome (Jerry) Byrne, P.Eng.

    New Director Bios:

    Jerome (Jerry) Byrne, a resident of Newfoundland and Labrador who
graduated from Memorial University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Engineering
degree. Mr. Byrne is currently the President and CEO of the D.F. Barnes Group,
an internationally recognized group of seven companies with over
400 employees. Mr. Byrne is active with the Association of Professional
Engineers and Geoscientists of NL, Junior Achievement and the St. John's Board
of Trade. He is also the Chairperson and a director of NOIA (NL Ocean
Industries Association) and chairs on several committees.
    Robert Dubois, P.Eng., a resident of Alberta, is the Owner and President
of Sunranch Holdings Limited, a private investment firm. He is also the Owner
and President of Sunchild Rentals Limited. He has recently sold the Robert J.
Dubois Corporation; a company which he founded and built that provides timely
solutions and continued support of computer hardware and networking needs for
remote oilfield sites. He brings to the Board an abundance of experience and
contacts in the service sector of the Canadian oil patch.
