TORONTO, July 29 /CNW/ - Toronto recording studio Cherry Beach Sound
welcomed American Idol finalist and singer-song writer Jason Castro to its
studio, on July 25, to record a key track for an upcoming film entitled Tierra
de Tigres by Laguna Pictures.
International producer, mixer, and engineer, Robbie Adams, best known for
his work with U2, Beck, Smashing Pumpkins, Leonard Cohen, Patty Griffin,
Spoon, and Fastball, as well as numerous other artists was brought in
specifically to produce the session for Castro.
Over seeing the session was the film's director, Fernando Lebrija and
producer/co-writer, Harrison Reiner. The film is currently being shot in
Mexico and is due to be released in March 2009. "The staff at Cherry Beach
Sound are the gold standard of professionalism and provided a very intimate
and warm atmosphere in which to work," said Reiner. "I surely hope to be back
in Toronto soon to make use of this very special facility."
