Allstate Insurance Company begins a new chapter in Niagara Falls

Strengthening relationships with consumers, one customer at a time

NIAGARA FALLS, ON, Jan. 8 /CNW/ - Today, Chris Kiah, President & CEO,
Christianne Dostie, Executive Vice President, and Tim Currie, Assistant Vice
President, Allstate Canada, joined his worship, Mayor Ted Salci, Kim Craitor,
MPP, Niagara Falls, and Joyce Morocco, Director of Sales for Niagara Falls
Tourism and a local member of the Liberal Party of Canada for the official
grand opening of the new Allstate Insurance Agency in Niagara Falls.
In 2007, Allstate announced that it was going to enhance its agent
distribution model in order to better respond to customer expectations and to
the demands of an evolving marketplace and introduced the new Allstate
Insurance Agency.
"For over 50 years, Allstate has built a reputation on having a personal
relationship with its customers," said Dostie. With the evolution to our new
Allstate Insurance Agency model, we will strengthen that reputation and be
more responsive to what consumers want when they want it."
The new Allstate Insurance Agency creates a consistent delivery model by
providing consumers with access to a team of experienced and knowledgeable
Allstate agents who will each be accountable for managing specific aspects of
a customer's needs. In each Agency there will be:

    - An Allstate Agent who will create and develop the relationship at new
       business;
    - An Allstate Agent who will expand the relationship by identifying
additional features to meet changing and evolving insurance needs; and
    - An Allstate Agent who will strengthen the relationship at renewal time
and provide customer service and support.

Nicole Madden, Agency Manager of the Niagara Falls location, added, "The
new Niagara AIA office is not only welcoming to the consumer, but the set-up
allows clients the opportunity to privately discuss their insurance needs with
a range of insurance professionals ready to service them in a team-oriented
atmosphere. On a personal note, my family and I have relocated to the Niagara
region for this opportunity and I am proud and honoured to say that there has
not been one Allstate employee or member of the Niagara community who has not
made us feel more than welcome. Thank you Niagara Falls, I look forward to a
long and rewarding relationship with you".
By the end of 2008, there were 80 new Allstate Insurance Agencies open
for business in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario and Alberta. Upon
completion there will be 93 new Agencies across Canada.
"Consumers in Ontario and across Canada are going to notice a difference
with how we do business in the new Allstate Insurance Agency. Consumers told
us what they are looking for and what they want from an insurance company and
we listened," Dostie added.

Allstate Insurance Company of Canada produces and distributes home and
auto insurance products right across Canada. The "Good Hands Network" enables
consumers to contact Allstate through one of our over 500 exclusive
