ALERT B&C exposing MAB technology at KABOOM 2 in Ottawa Canada

    CALGARY, Sept. 10 /CNW Telbec/ - ALERT B&C Corporation ("ALERT B&C" or
the "Corporation") (TSX Venture Exchange: ACB) is pleased to announce that
their proprietary Metastable Atom Bombardment "MAB" technology will be one of
the new Canadian technologies to be presented to the attendees of this year's
KABOOM 2 workshop in Ottawa which will run from September 15, 2009 to
September 17, 2009.
Mr. Stefan Krolik will be presenting MAB to approximately 300
international security and first response professionals who will be attending
KABOOM 2. This event offers the opportunity to bring a high level of exposure
to the Corporation's technology as a great number of the key players in the
industry will be drawn together for this occasion.
What is KABOOM 2? Airport security personnel around the world work very
hard keeping passengers safe, particularly from deliberate explosions. In 2007
the National Research Council (NRC) and several Canadian high-risk security
and disaster response technology companies collaborated in a unique,
large-scale research experiment at an NRC Aerospace facility in Ottawa. With
all the necessary safety precautions in place, a bomb was set off in the rear
cargo hold of a decommissioned Boeing 727 passenger jet. This deliberate
detonation of an explosive inside a pressurized aircraft was a first-ever
Canadian event. To view the NRC Science Spotlight on KABOOM please visit the
website at

Defence Research Development Canada (DRDC), Centre for Security Science
(CSS) is sponsoring another such event this September; KABOOM 2 will be hosted
by NRC Aerospace in Ottawa. The workshop will be conducted as a National
Incident Management System (NIMS) incident centered on the detonation of two
devices in a pressurized airframe and the associated emergency services and
security/investigative response. The purpose of this workshop is to increase
aircraft security and response tactics especially in relation to the upcoming
2010 Olympic Games.
Attendance to this workshop is by invite only. Interested industry
professionals should contact the NRC to attend.
