publisher of casual games, and Melesta, a game development company based in
Belarus, today announced the creation of Alawar Melesta, a new internal
division at Alawar. Alawar Melesta will continue to work on the popular "Farm
Frenzy" series as well as other projects. The company is the fifth development
studio to become a part of Alawar.
Melesta was founded in March 2007. The company's first game, "Farm
Frenzy," topped the charts of leading portals around the world. "Farm Frenzy
2" and "Farm Frenzy - Pizza Party!" came next, delivering even greater
revenues. To facilitate further distribution, Alawar has localized the "Farm
Frenzy" series into 14 languages and is working on a Nintendo DS version.

company plans to release 50 games in 2009. Internal studios will develop
around half of these titles.
