Al Gore to Receive Honorary Doctorate From Concordia University



    MONTREAL, March 19 /CNW Telbec/ - On Thursday, March 22nd Concordia
University will bestow an honorary doctorate on former American
Vice-President, Al Gore. The doctorate will be awarded at the Palais des
Congrès (1001, place Jean-Paul-Riopelle, room 517), at approximately 6:45 p.m.
Gore is in Montreal to present the keynote speech at Youth Action Montreal's
first Youth Summit on Climate Change. The honorary doctorate will be presented
immediately following his talk, which begins at approximately 4:45 p.m.
    No working media will be permitted in the hall during his keynote address
or during the honorary doctorate ceremony. If you would like photos of the
honorary doctorate ceremony, a pool photographer, provided by Concordia, will
be able to offer you photos in print quality jpegs immediately following the
ceremony.
