MONTREAL, Sept. 11 /CNW Telbec/ - The Liberal Party of Canada proudly
welcomes Noushig Eloyan as a member of its slate of candidates, representing
the Ahuntsic riding.
"Ms. Eloyan's impressive career path, her in-depth knowledge of municipal
issues, her community involvement and her commitment to the people of Ahuntsic
make her one of the Liberal party's foremost candidates. I look forward to
working with her, as part of an upcoming Liberal government, on advancing
issues relevant to both Montreal and Quebec in general," declared the
Honourable Denis Coderre, Quebec lieutenant for Liberal leader Michael
"Two very important choices I have made in my life are this country and
the city in which I live. For the past 15 years, I have worked exclusively for
Montreal, but it's now time for me to deploy my political commitment at the
federal level. I intend to continue advocating for Montreal and defending the
interests of my fellow Ahuntsic residents - should they decide, of course, to
entrust me with this mandate in the next federal election campaign. I am
leaving in a serene state, and I wish my comrades in arms a happy journey,"
said Ms. Eloyan.
"I am pleased to have this opportunity to serve as a member of the
Liberal Party. I have learned from experience that representation at the
decision-makers' table is essential if one wants to take concrete action." She
added in conclusion: "The one factor that has most influenced my decision is
Mr. Ignatieff's leadership."
