AFL Public Meeting on oil sands development, temporary foreign workers

EDMONTON, March 14 /CNW/ - Alberta Federation of Labour President Gil
McGowan will be briefing labour leaders and activists at a public meeting
about the AFL's current campaign to get a better deal for working people out
of the oil sands development:

                             Wednesday, March 14
                               7:00 - 9:00 pm
                                 Lacombe Room
                         Crown Plaza Chateau Lacombe
                             10111 Bellamy Hill

The AFL's "Don't Send Alberta Jobs Down the Pipeline" campaign calls on
the government to address union concerns in three areas: fair royalties; the
piping of unrefined bitumen out of the province; and the increasing use of
temporary foreign workers.
