Adria Airways places an order with Mechtronix for one Ascent(R) Flight Trainer(TM)

The Ascent(R) Flight Trainer(TM) will become a key component of the Cadet
program of the Slovenian national carrier for IR and MCC training phases

MONTREAL, Sept. 18 /CNW Telbec/ - Adria Airways, the national airline of
Slovenia, has selected the Ascent(R) Flight Trainer(TM) (AFT(TM)) to support
MCC and IR training as part of the ATPL curriculum within the Ab-Initio
division. This fixed base flight training device is manufactured by Mechtronix
Systems Inc., a leading provider of flight training devices worldwide. Adria's
AFT(TM) will be the most advanced fixed base simulator in Slovenia.
The simulator closely replicates a twin turboprop equipped Garmin 430 GPS
and is reconfigurable between four aircraft models: B200, Piper Seneca V,
Piper Arrow and a generic jet model. The trainer is equipped with the
RASTERflite(TM) image generator by Rediffun; real time visual software that
provides high resolution and light point brightness bringing FFS visual
quality to the FNPT world. The school will seek JAR-STD 3A FNPT II and MCC
qualifications under JAA:
Julijan Sosic, Crew Training Manager for Adria Airways commented: "We've
known Mechtronix for a long time and we are impressed by their track record in
providing MCC platforms to flight schools in Europe. At the time of acquiring
our FNPT the choice was obvious; the AFT(TM) we've selected will become a key
element to sustain Adria's growing demand for pilots."
Xavier Hervé, Mechtronix Systems' President mentioned: "The AFT(TM) has
become the preferred simulator for MCC/IR training for FTO's that feed pilots
to European airlines. We look forward to establishing long term relationships
with Adria and provide them with solutions tailored to needs for both
ab-initio and commercial training."
