ADF Group Inc. lands a major contract in New York City totaling up to 47.0 million dollars



    The Corporation's backlog reaches over 170.0 million dollars

    TERREBONNE, QC, Oct. 31 /CNW Telbec/ - ADF GROUP INC. ("ADF" or the
"Corporation") (TSX: DRX) is pleased to announce that is has been awarded a
major contract totaling up to 47.0 million dollars in New York City, U.S.A.
    The contract refers to the fabrication and delivery of the steel
superstructure and heavy steel components of an important portion of a major
landmark building to be built in New York City. The contract also involves the
fabrication and delivery of the base and mast of the antenna that will top the
building.
    This contract calls for the fabrication of heavy steel built-ups that can
reach up to 70 tons, as well as complex and conventional steel structures. The
complex steel structure of the antenna calls for the assembly of heavy steel
components.
    The client supplies the material and engineering drawings on this
contract.
    Mr. Jean Paschini, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer,
declares, "ADF is present in a very specialized niche. All is in place at ADF
to carry out projects of this magnitude and complexity". Mr. Paschini adds
that this new contract will allow for the creation of 50 new jobs at the
Terrebonne plant.
    Fabrication will start in February 2008 and will extend to October 2009.
    The Corporation's backlog reaches over 170.0 million dollars.
