~ First National Conference Specifically for Women UNDER 45 ~
TORONTO, Oct. 29 /CNW/ - Young, pre-menopausal breast cancer patients,
survivors, medical experts, and high-profile guest speakers will be coming
together for the first time in a few days to hear and share the most current
medical and psychological information for younger women with breast cancer;
tackle issues specific to pre-menopausal women with breast cancer; and build a
support network for this often neglected age group with respect to breast
cancer treatment. The Conference is in response to a recent survey that shows
treatment and support is 'ill-fitting' for younger women with breast cancer as
the majority of breast cancer resources and clinical experiences are geared
for women over the age of 50.
