A promising start
The fruit of four years of research and development (R&D), Nicto was
designed and developed by Quebec-based Intégrale MBD. Introduced at the BI
Trade Show in 2006, Nicto was a finalist in the "technological innovation" and
"electronic business" categories at the 2006 Octas Gala.
Last August, Intégrale MBD received financial assistance from the
Ministère du Développement économique, de l'Innovation et de l'Exportation
(www.mdeie.gouv.qc.ca) under the Assistance program for businesses -
Technology Showcase, set up to support small and medium-sized businesses SMBs
in their efforts to market a technological innovation developed in Quebec. The
program's objective is to help companies demonstrate a recently developed

This technology showcase was developed in conjunction with health sector
company Roche Diagnostics Canada, which uses Nicto to directly access the
marketing data warehouse, specially created by Intégrale MBD, from which it
continuously extracts performance indicators in real time. As a result, rather
than having to rely on IT experts to devise complex solutions, Roche marketing
and sales specialists can now access a continuously updated database directly
from their workstations and extract vital information from it thanks to Nico
and the key indicators displayed on their control panels. By providing
in-depth knowledge of its customers' purchasing habits and enabling it to
optimize customer loyalty through targeted initiatives Nicto has given Roche a
