Acclaimed expert on Iran to meet media



    TORONTO, March 15 /CNW/ - As the world struggles to deal with a
potentially nuclear Iran, Menashe Amir, a globally renowned expert on Iran
will be available to provide an inside look at the country on Monday,
March 19, 11 a.m. in the Goldstein Showroom on the fourth floor of the Lipa
Green Building for Jewish Community Services, (4600 Bathurst Street, north of
Sheppard).
    Amir is Israel's leading authority on Iran, whose contacts in the country
provide him with information that is unavailable to others. Amir has served as
director and broadcaster of the Voice of Israel in Farsi, which has millions
of listeners in Iran. He is a widely sought commentator on Iranian affairs and
a consultant on Iran for ABC TV.
    Iran, which has threatened to wipe Israel off the map, has so far
resisted all international attempts to stop its nuclear program.
