Absolute now delivers computer theft recovery, mobile data protection and
secure asset tracking services to more than one million mobile computers
VANCOUVER, March 13 /CNW/ - Absolute Software ("Absolute") (TSX: ABT),
the leading provider of patented, firmware-based, Computrace(R) Computer Theft
Recovery, Mobile Data Protection and Secure Asset Tracking(TM) solutions, is
pleased to announce that, as of February 28, 2007, it has surpassed a
milestone of one million active customer subscriptions under contract.

schedule, was a key milestone and is also a testament to Absolute's leadership
in establishing this important new mobile computer security standard," said

customer recently experienced the theft of a laptop containing confidential
data while in Russia on business. Within 24 hours Absolute had deleted all of
the confidential data from the hard drive, and within 48 hours the Company led
police to the alleged thief and laptop. In cases like this, Absolute has been
able to spare its clients some of the damaging consequences of such losses,
which can include embarrassing media coverage, loss of customer confidence and
