MONTREAL, Jan. 14 /CNW Telbec/ - The Canadian chapters of four important
intellectual property organizations are pleased to announce the Fifth Edition

interested in taking advantage of the practical experience of speakers in the
field of intellectual property. The theme of FORPIQ 2009 will be "Intellectual
Property at the Core of Successful Innovative Businesses".
The FORPIQ 2009 speakers are mostly from business circles. Collectively,
they represent a vast accumulation of practical knowledge in the management
and strategic planning of intellectual property assets. Mr. Gilles Gravel,
President and General Manager of Compétivité Québec is the Honorary President.

commercialization of their technologies, as well as how such companies protect
and benefit from their intellectual property assets, including trade secrets.
FORPIQ 2009 will also deal with intellectual property litigation as a
strategic tool and ways in which to handle the sometimes high costs of such
litigation. A panel will also discuss client-supplier relations in the context
of technology transfers.
The presentations and panel discussions will be in either English or
