A new record of $691,365 net for the Fondation du CHUM Gourmet Dinner

MONTREAL, June 10, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - The atmosphere was bathed in festivities this past Tuesday, the 9th of June at the 17th edition of the Gourmet Dinner for the Fondation du Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM). Some 300 guests from the worlds of business, of medicine and of the arts gathered together for this prestigious event for the benefit of the CHUM, one of North America's premier teaching hospitals.

Emceed by Judi Richards and under the honorary presidency of Suzanne and Yves Des Groseillers, the evening gala saw a record total of $691,365 net raised for the purpose of helping to give the best in health care to patients at the hospital.

For the president of the board of the Fondation du CHUM, Marie-Berthe Des Groseillers and Jo-Anne Hudon Duchesne, Interim General Director, the event held special meaning this year. "We want to highlight the exemplary efforts of the CHUM staff, who were present with us in greater numbers than ever; in addition, we want to pay tribute to our volunteer spokesman, Yvon Deschamps. In view of this truly record contribution that will be delivered to the hospital, we can say with assurance: mission accomplished!"

Thanks to the great number of donors and partners, the Gourmet Dinner enables the Fondation to carry on its commitment toward the CHUM in terms of the purchase of new cutting-edge equipment, advances in innovative research projects and support for teaching and initiatives in health promotion.

On the move toward the new CHUM
