MONTREAL, June 9 /CNW Telbec/ - During the 17th annual Pedal for Kids
event, taking place June 9 until June 13, 1200 participants representing some
40 organizations and businesses will raise funds in support of The Children's
young patients. This year, participants will enjoy a brand new giant 30-seat
bicycle which they will ride through the downtown streets of Montreal, while
being escorted by the Montreal Police motorcade.
Over the years, Pedal for Kids has raised more than 6.5 million dollars
to meet the most urgent needs of the Hospital, including the purchase of
equipment and the completion of special projects ensuring the best quality of
care for The Children's patients.
The 2008 spokesperson: Raphael Leclaire
In order to give back to the Hospital which has helped him so much,
seventeen-year-old Raphael Leclaire has chosen to lead a ride on board the
Mighty Bike. Raphael, who has beaten cancer twice, truly exemplifies the
reasons why so many have chosen to Pedal for Kids's. He will no doubt be a
strong source of inspiration to all the riders.

Hospital (2300 Tupper) on Monday, June 9, at 12:30 P.M, during an outdoor
party which Media representatives are cordially invited to. From Tuesday to
Friday, the Mighty Bike will leave from the Roddick gates of McGill University
