MONTREAL, Jan. 7 /CNW Telbec/ - Desjardins is a true leader when it comes
to health at work and is proud to team up once again with Acti-Menu for the
5/30 Health Challenge. As a major partner of the Challenge for the fifth year
in a row, Desjardins demonstrates its drive to integrate a culture of good
health in everyday life within its organization. The Group invites its 40,000
employees, its 6,500 elected officers and its retirees, along with their
family members, to take up this great health challenge that will run from
March 1 to April 11, 2009.
As in the past, all participants must undertake the challenge of eating
at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables and of being active for at least
30 minutes a day, 5 days a week.
With the second edition of "Become the Desjardins 5/30 Family", the
financial institution hopes to encourage all families in Québec to adopt and
maintain healthy life habits. One of the participating families will get the
chance to take home the $5,000 prize that will be awarded in the form of a
Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP).
What's more, on February 3, Desjardins will host the second edition of
the 5/30 Health Challenge Show at the Grande-Place of Complexe Desjardins in
Montréal. Conferences and screening tests are on the agenda.
Again as part of the 5/30 Health Challenge and as the major partner of
the Québec Winter Carnival, Desjardins Group invites families to come enjoy
the slides on the Plains of Abraham on February 14 and 15, during an activity
organized especially for the Challenge.
