2009 OGRA/ROMA Combined Conference to Feature Premier Dalton McGuinty, Provincial Ministers and Municipal Leaders



    TORONTO, Feb. 20 /CNW/ - More than 1300 delegates from municipalities
across Ontario will attend the 2009 OGRA/ROMA Combined Conference, February 22
to 25 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto. The Honourable Dalton
McGuinty, two provincial party leaders and as many as ten Provincial Ministers
and Parliamentary Assistants will participate.
    With over 50 speakers participating in the plenary sessions, workshops
and information rooms as well as the three-day Public Works and Municipal
Services Show, the annual OGRA/ROMA Combined Conference is one of Canada's
largest Municipal conferences. This year's conference theme, What's Coming
Down the Road..., features workshops on Northern Ontario Growth Plan, Moving
Forward with Asset Management, Accessibility: Clearing the Path to
Implementation, Municipal Drains - A Plug for the Environment, Detecting and
Preventing Bid-rigging, Savoring Success - Marketing Ontario's Food, Buried
Treasurers - Underground Utilities, and many more.
    In addition to our workshops and information rooms, Provincial Ministers
will attend the Ministers' Forum on Tuesday, February 24 at 3:45 p.m. in the
Canadian Room on the Convention Floor to take questions from the delegates.

Floor at the Fairmont Royal York upon arrival.
