VANCOUVER, Jan. 23 /CNW/ - Sego Resources has completed geological
mapping and sampling of outcrops on its Miner Mountain Porphyry Copper Gold
Palladium Project near Princeton, BC. The sampling identified a 70-190m x
1100m oxide zone across two previously known mineralized zones. This indicates
a significant extension to what was known as the Granby Zone.
An additional zone has been identified in the southern area of the
property that was not previously recognized. Rock geochemistry was conducted
and one result of (greater than) 10,000 ppm Copper, 9.3 ppm silver and 19.2
ppb gold has made this a priority target area. This is a third porphyry target
found to date.
The success of surface mapping has indicated that trenching will be a
valuable tool prior to diamond drilling. Permit applications are being
processed with trenching expected to begin towards the end of January. The
Miner Mountain property, near Princeton, BC, is 2400 hectares in size. Due to
limited snowfall and low elevation this property is accessible for work year
round. Sego Resources has funding in place for a one million dollar
exploration program in 2008. (Note News Release dated January 2, 2008)
