VANCOUVER, April 16 /CNW/ - The nomination deadline for the 2007 GLOBE
Awards for Environmental Excellence is fast approaching with submissions due
by April 27th, 2007. The GLOBE Awards are Canada's highest profile national
acclaim for environmental excellence as judged by the GLOBE Foundation's panel
of international environmental leaders. The awards identify and showcase
companies that have leveraged their commitment to environmental leadership
into a competitive advantage. The winners lead the pack with sustainable
business strategies, progressive technologies, and services. The awards will
be presented at EECO 2007 Environment & Energy Conference, being held at the
Metro Toronto Convention Centre. This exciting awards event will serve as the
Closing Gala Luncheon for EECO 2007 and will take place on Wednesday,
June 20th in Toronto, Ontario.
The list of previous winners of the GLOBE Awards includes some of the
most celebrated companies in the Canadian environmental business community.
Past winners include Interface Flooring Systems (Canada), Inc., Suncor Energy
Inc., Xantrex Technology, Advanced Glazings Ltd., Jantzi Research Inc., Toyota
Canada, and The Forest Products Association of Canada.
