LAVAL, QC, March 14 /CNW/ - Stellar Pacific Ventures (SPX) is pleased to
announce that exploration program has resumed on its Vassan property located
within the Val d'Or gold camp. Stellar Pacific Ventures (SPX) has initiated a
deep penetrating electromagnetic surface survey (InfiniTem) over the northern
portion of the Vassan property. In past drilling, the company had detected a
cherty exhalite mineralized with honey sphalerite while drilling the Hamelin
gold zone. This horizon was cut near surface four times with anomalous zinc
values as follow:
Hole From To Length Zn %
AB-2002-04 33.4 33.82 0.42 1.25
V2005-09 31.15 31.58 0.42 2.19
V2006-04 38.4 38.78 0.38 2.44
V2006-11 71.13 71.43 0.30 2.19
Although these results are at best anomalous, they might represent a
distal equivalent of massive sulphide deposit as observed in the Noranda and
Matagami camps. The actual surface survey will test down to at least the
200 metre level and possibly deeper if a strong conductor is present.
The company is planning a major drilling program to begin following
results on Infini Tem survey on the new zone and on Hamelin zone where
significant results have been obtained on previous drilling programs.
