Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity - Robot to be demonstrated for Environment Minister at Queen's Park

TORONTO, May 8, 2012 /CNW/ -

WHAT:  Environment Industry Day, hosted by the Ontario Environment Industry Association (ONEIA), sees hundreds of environment firms come to Queen's Park to meet MPPs and Ministers, and discuss environmental issues with senior staff from various government ministries.
   
  To mark the occasion, Clearpath Robotics' made-in-Ontario Husky robot will be demonstrated for Environment Minister the Hon. Jim Bradley. The Husky, which can carry an array of instruments to measure environmental contamination and survey remote sites is already in widespread civilian and military application, including performing environmental tasks in Alberta's oil sands.
   
  Members of the media and MPPs are also invited to pilot the robot at the end of the media opportunity.
