Media Advisory - Anishinabek, Canada sign governance Agreement-in-Principle


    OTTAWA, Feb. 14 /CNW Telbec/ - An Agreement-in-Principle (AIP) with
respect to Anishinabek Nation governance will be commemorated by a special
ceremony February 16, 2007. The AIP, establishing a framework for the
Anishinabek Nation to assume greater control over its own institutions of
government, will be signed by Grand Council Chief John Beaucage and the
Honourable Jim Prentice, Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development
and Federal Interlocutor for Métis and Non-Status Indians.Where:  Nbisiing Education Centre (gymnasium)
