VANCOUVER, Feb. 3, 2012 /CNW/ - The Certified General Accountants Association of Canada (CGA-Canada) is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of B.C.'s Top Employers in 2012 for the fifth consecutive year by MediaCorp Canada.
"We are immensely gratified that CGA-Canada has once again been recognized as one of B.C.'s Top Employers," says Anthony Ariganello, CGA-Canada's President and CEO. "I want to thank our employees for all their efforts in making CGA-Canada an exceptional place to work. We work hard to attract and retain the very best employees, and by investing in them everyone wins."
The selection of the B.C.'s Top Employers is based on performance in several areas, including: physical workplace; work and social atmosphere; vacation and time off; employee communications; training and skills development; and health, financial and family benefits.
Here are some of the benefits and opportunities offered by CGA-Canada that were highlighted in the selection process:
- Encourages employees to keep fit with organized sports teams and free membership to a fully-equipped onsite fitness facility.
- Offers great financial rewards including contributions to a matching RSP plan.
- Offers maternity and parental leave top-up payments for new mothers, fathers, or adoptive parents as well as an adoption assistance subsidy.
- Manages the longstanding "TGIF" policy that gives employees the last Friday afternoon off each month from September to May.
