Claymore's Mobile Application Allows Investors to Access ETF Information Anywhere, Anytime

TORONTO, Dec. 8, 2011 /CNW/ - Claymore Investments ("Claymore"), a leading provider of intelligent Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) in Canada, has launched 'ETF Central', a new FREE mobile application for BlackBerry, PlayBook, iPhone and iPad devices. The application allows you to view market prices of all TSX listed ETFs, create and track your own ETF portfolio, view ETF news and educational resources, link to all online brokerage to trade ETFs, track upcoming ETF events and more.

"Investors are always looking for easier access to information and mobile trading capabilities for exchange traded funds" said Som Seif, President and CEO, Claymore Investments. "With the launch of the ETF Central mobile application, we are continuing our focus on innovation and making it easy for Canadians to understand and invest in ETFs."

ETF Central was created in partnership with Plastic Mobile, an industry leading mobile marketing agency working with some of North America's best brands.

"ETFs represent a sizable industry but public awareness about them has been very limited. Our goal was to create a comprehensive mobile experience that educates novice investors as well as assist the most senior traders" said Melody Adhami, President and COO, Plastic Mobile.  "By creating mobile apps that educate and manage ETFs, Claymore has opened an arena where users can explore alternative investment opportunities."

Claymore continues to be a leader in providing innovative products and solutions that make investing affordable and accessible for Canadians. Earlier this year, Claymore partnered with Scotia iTRADE to offer investors commission free online trading on 31 Claymore ETFs, and was subsequently recognized by Morningstar as the Best ETF Initiative for 2011. Claymore also received the Best ETF Initiative award in 2009 for being the first ETF provider in the world to offer access to investors for Distribution Reinvestment Plans, Pre‐Authorized Cash Contribution Plans and Systematic Withdrawal Plans with no additional fees.

ETF Central is available for download for free at either Apple's App Store or BlackBerry's App World.
