Easier Days Ahead For Dragons O'Leary and Treliving

MAPLE RIDGE, BC, Sept. 29, 2011 /CNW/ - Children across Canada should be looking forward to their days being made just a little easier. Maple Ridge, BC-based Easy Daysies® has developed products that assist families with daily routines and help children lessen daily anxieties. The company, which sells throughout North America in children's retailers and around the world from their website, offers easy-to-use visual routines that allow children to plan activities and learn organizational skills. Now with two of Canada's leading business minds - Jim Treliving and Kevin O'Leary - to provide expertise, Easy Daysies will be showing up on household fridges and whiteboards even faster.
Created by Elaine (Tan) Comeau, a school teacher and mother of three, Easy Daysies has won multiple awards. In her pitch on CBC's Dragons' Den, Elaine incited a fiery competition involving all five Dragons, but decided on the pairing of O'Leary, Chairman of O'Leary Funds and children's software guru, and Treliving, co-Chairman and owner of Boston Pizza International.
"Easy Daysies has shown great innovation in creating products that benefit both parents and children," said Treliving. "With a small boost and some direction I can see this business really taking off."
"My story is like that of many 'mom-preneurs' aspiring to make something from the spark of a simple idea," Comeau says. "I package product and orders off my kitchen table often until after 3:00 AM and make business calls at 6:00 AM to the east coast before the children wake up."
With the first product launched days after her third child was born three years ago, Easy Daysies is already available in over 90 stores across Canada and the USA; sales are quadrupling each quarter.
Easy Daysies offers visual routines and organisers that help children and families have easier days. Their award winning products are recommended by child psychologists, educators and occupational therapists. Operating from Maple Ridge, British Columbia this husband and wife team serve retailers and customers around the world.
