OTTAWA, Oct. 11 /CNW Telbec/ - October is designated as Child Abuse
Prevention Month in Ontario. Mayor Larry O'Brien has declared October 12th as
Child Abuse Prevention Day in Ottawa.
Once again the Children's Aid Society hopes to distribute over 30,000
purple buttons and wristbands around Ottawa to make the community more aware
that child abuse and neglect are still issues in our community.

CAS employees, board members and local community members will be at
various Transitway stops handing out Purple buttons and wristbands.When: Friday, October 12, 7:00 - 8:00 a.m.
Where: Place D'Orleans, Blair Station, Rideau Centre at
MacKenzie King Bridge, Tunney's Pasture and
Billings Bridge.
