TORONTO, Sept. 9 /CNW/ - Mayoral candidate Sarah Thomson, standing just North of Queen street near the southwest corner of Nathan Phillips Square at 10am today will announce a film policy to let the international film industry know Toronto is open for business under her administration. Thomson will eliminate any restrictive pricing premiums, excessive process or paperwork and unnecessary fee barriers that prevent Toronto from attracting more film production contracts from around the world.

Thomson will "roll out the red carpet by cutting the red tape" to fast-track and facilitate more film projects. Thomson will open our doors to the film industry around the world to become the most inviting, accessible, affordable and accommodating city anywhere for location sets.
