New Listeria Meat Recall Class Action
TORONTO, March 14 /CNW/ - Merchant Law Group is launching national class action litigation on behalf of all consumers who have purchased or consumed recalled meats produced by Siena Foods.
This litigation will seek financial compensation for all individuals who purchased or consumed contaminated Siena meats, regardless of whether or not illness results.
Merchant Law Group LLP has 10 offices across Canada, and represented more than 20 families whose relatives died from listeriosis during the 2008 Maple Leaf Meat Recall, as well as over 4,000 consumers who had purchased recalled meat products.
These new class action lawsuits will allege that Siena Foods Ltd. were negligent in the production of listeria contaminated meat products. Listeriosis can cause a range of illnesses, and it has been recently announced that Siena products are being investigated by the Ontario government for possible deaths linked to listeria contamination.
Any consumers who may have purchased or consumed Siena meats should contact our law firm at merchant@merchantlaw.com or 866-982-7777. Alternatively, please complete the brief questionnaire at http://www.merchantlaw.com/classactions/listeria.php
