By 2026, over 6 million Canadians will have arthritis

TORONTO, March 3 /CNW/ - On Sunday, March 7, thousands of Canadians are doing yoga to raise money for arthritis research at Power of Movement 2010, the world's largest yoga fundraiser. Throughout the day, large-scale Power of Movement yoga "mega-sessions" are taking place in 10 cities coast-to-coast including Vancouver, Nanaimo, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Kingston, Montreal and Halifax. Now in its fourth year, Power of Movement has raised almost $400,000 benefiting 4.5 million Canadians who live with arthritis and autoimmune diseases.

-   Arthritis affects one in six Canadian adults and 1 in every 1,000
        children
