Media advisory - Mayors of Canada's largest cities meet in Whistler, B.C., June 4

    OTTAWA, June 2 /CNW Telbec/ - The mayors of Canada's largest cities will
meet June 4, 2009, in Whistler, B.C., in advance of the Federation of Canadian
Municipalities (FCM) annual conference, June 5 - 8 at the Telus Whistler
Conference Centre.
    The mayors, members of FCM's Big City Mayors' Caucus, will meet at the
Westin Resort & Spa in Whistler from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (all times local)
to discuss federal-municipal cooperation and protecting core investments in
cities following the recession.
    The meeting is closed to news media but a news conference is scheduled
for 11:30 a.m. Individual mayors may be available to meet reporters following
