Global bankers for the poor to present at the 2009 Toronto Microfinance Conference

TORONTO, Oct. 29 /CNW/ - The 2009 Toronto Microfinance Conference, a full-day event exploring microfinance and its role in alleviating global poverty, is taking place on November 14, 2009, at the Toronto Reference Library in the Bram & Bluma Appel Salon.

The conference is co-hosted by the Rotary International District 7070 Microfinance Committee, FINCA International, ACCESS Community Capital Fund, Grameen Foundation, Oikocredit, Opportunity International and Foundation for Women; and is sponsored by Crann Law Firm and Scotiabank.

The conference will include case studies and workshops focusing on microfinance programs around the world.
