OTTAWA, Feb. 17 /CNW Telbec/ - The Humanist Association of Ottawa, the
local atheist group working with the Freethought Association of Canada and
atheistbus.ca, is planning protest action at the Transit Committee meeting
tomorrow morning (Wednesday) at 9:30 am at City Hall.
The community of atheists and freethinkers in Ottawa, represented by the
Humanist Association of Ottawa, is appalled by the blatant discrimination
shown by the rejection of the atheist bus ads while Christian ads are
accepted.
Should the City persist with their denial of atheists' freedom of speech,
the Humanist Association of Ottawa is considering further protests and legal
action.
