MONTREAL, March 31 /CNW Telbec/ - Golden Goose Resources Inc. (TSX-V:
GGR) (the "Company") announces that Francois Perron has been appointed as
President and CEO of Golden Goose by the board of directors, effective May 1,
2009. The board believes that Mr. Perron brings key talents to continue the
development of the Company's Magino gold mine near Wawa, Ontario.
Mr. Perron is widely known in the resource industry as for his success as
a fund manager, consistently outperforming industry benchmarks. Most recently,
he managed a resource focused portfolio for NBC Alternative Investments.
Previous to that, he managed various resource funds for the Caisse de Dépôt et
Placement du Québec from 2001 to 2007. Before that he worked as a senior
analyst for Merrill Lynch.
"I am very excited about taking on the role of CEO of Golden Goose, and
helping to unlock the tremendous value of the company's Magino gold deposit,"
Mr. Perron said recently.
Jean-Marc Lacoste, who will remain President and CEO until May 1, 2009,
will at that time assume the role of chairman of the Golden Goose board to
help pursue the Company's goal of becoming a junior gold producer. He will
have a 1-year consulting contract to ensure a smooth management transition.
Golden Goose continues to evaluate the advanced exploration opportunity
at Magino. The company expects to complete an NI 43-101 gold resource estimate
during the second quarter of this year, which will integrate all the drilling
from the past 2 years with the historic data base.
