Media Advisory - Final days of action at the BC Poker Championships - River Rock Casino Resort - Nov. 21-22

RICHMOND, BC, Nov. 21 /CNW/ - All media is invited to come and check-out the final action at the fifth annual BC Poker Championships as there are only a few tables left and a handful of players fighting for the first place prize worth $364,364.

A number of local poker players are still in the game along with Liz Lieu. Lieu was honored by the WSOP and ESPN as a "Final Table Grand Marshall" along with Johnny Chan in 2006. Since 2008, Lieu has earned over $690,000 in live tournament play.

Some of the other international poker stars such as Lacey Jones, Maria Ho, Tiffany Michelle, Gavin Smith, Brad "Yukon" Booth and Greg 'FBT' Mueller did not succeed in their quest to get to the final table but they are currently on-site and cheering on the remaining players.

The estimated prize pool for this year's BC Poker Championships is $2.5 million. The River Rock Casino Resort is hosting the tournament in partnership with PlayNow.com.
