"Toronto's Run" invites the community to Run, Pledge and Cheer!

What: Warm-up event for the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon
that will start and end at Nathan Phillips Square on Sunday,
September 28th. This event will highlight the community
elements of the annual race and will also feature performances
by Toronto- based country trio "Dirty Dishes" and drumming
group Baradununba
The 9th annual Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon falls on
the 100th year anniversary of the first full length (42.195k)
marathon run.
When: Remarks begin at 12:30 p.m. sharp, Wednesday, September 24,
2008
Where: Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto City Hall
100 Queen Street West, Toronto.
Why: This event celebrates the community spirit of the Scotiabank
Toronto Waterfront Marathon by bringing together
representatives from several of the more than 60 charities that
will benefit from the Scotiabank Charity Challenge component of
the race, representatives from the Scotiabank MarathonKIDS
program, and representatives from some of the 11 communities
that will cheer on runners and compete in the Neighbourhood
Challenge along the race route.
