MONTREAL, Dec. 4 /CNW Telbec/ - In the context of the worldwide economic
crisis, researchers, political economists, union representatives and students
from around the world will participate in the 11th Karl Polanyi Institute
conference called The Relevance of Karl Polanyi for the 21st Century. The
conference, marking the 20th anniversary of the foundation of the Karl Polanyi
Institute of Political Economy at Concordia University, will be held at

socio-economic framework, including greater ethics and social responsibility.
There will also be discussions into the strategic role that Quebec businesses
can play in the world of finance.
