MONTREAL, May 7 /CNW Telbec/ - L'International des Feux Loto-Québec
presented by TELUS is seeking 19 fireworks enthusiasts to serve this summer as
members of the jury of Montreal's annual international fireworks competition.
These fans will have the enjoyable and important job of attending all nine
performances at La Ronde, where the fireworks are launched, judging the
performance of each of the competing companies representing nine nations and
awarding the gold, silver and bronze jupiters, the world's most coveted
distinctions in the pyrotechnic industry.
Until May 15, those interested in being a jury member can apply by
visiting the L'International des Feux Loto-Québec presented by TELUS website
(www.internationaldesfeuxlotoquebec.com). Excellent tickets can also be
purchased online.
No experience is needed to serve on the event jury. Applicants will be
required to answer a number of questions online and explain in writing why
they think they would make a good judge. Only applications submitted
electronically will be considered. Those selected in the first round will
receive an e-mail telling them that they will be part of the next step of the
selection process. The 19 people chosen for the jury will judge the various
performances based on a new evaluation grid comprising the following five
criteria: pyrotechnic pieces (variety, quality and colours), synchronization,
soundtrack, technical design and pyromusical design.
