Media Advisory - UK's Greg Clark to speak on unlocking Toronto's potential as a successful "Global City"

    Municipal Finance and Governance at the Munk Centre for International
    Studies, University of Toronto

    TORONTO, May 14 /CNW/ -WHAT:

    UK-based Greg Clark, a high-profile consultant for cities worldwide will
    share his vision of an intriguing future for Toronto in "Invest in
    Success: Leveraging the Return from Global Cities".

    Clark, Chair of the OECD Forum on cities and regions, plays important
    leadership roles in city and regional development in the United Kingdom,
    particularly in the City of London. He also knows Toronto well and shared
    his knowledge on making cities and regions work as the principal
    international consultant to the Mayor's: "Agenda for Prosperity" released
    earlier this year.

    WHEN/WHERE:

    Wednesday, May 21st, 4 to 6 pm. Reception to follow,
    Munk Centre, U of T, Campbell Conference Facility, 1 Devonshire Place.

    Following the main address, Greg Clark will be joined for a discussion on
    Toronto's future as a "Global City" by two prominent Torontonians:

    This series is co-sponsored by the Toronto Community Foundation and the
    Institute for Municipal Finance and Governance. The international
    speakers in this series have been selected to offer fresh approaches to
    the growing challenges - from aging infrastructure to civic debt -
    facing the City of Toronto and its surrounding region, as identified in
    the Toronto Community Foundation's annual checkup on the health of the
