Mars Canada Inc. will be donating $10,000 to the Humane Society of Durham
RegionTORONTO, Dec. 19 /CNW/ - As part of their on-going dedication to partner
shelters, Mars Canada Inc., on behalf of the Pedigree Adoption Drive(TM)
campaign and the Whiskas(R) Cat Adoption Program is asking the public, in the
spirit of the season, to support the Humane Society of Durham Region during
their time of need.
Over the past year, Mars Canada Inc. has worked closely with the Humane
Society of Durham Region to help promote adoption and find more loving homes
for shelter cats and dogs.
In light of the recent tragedy in which many animals lost their lives,
Mars Canada Inc. is donating $10,000 CAD to the Durham Region shelter to help
them get back up and running in the New Year.
Sadly, each year in Canada, tens of thousands of unwanted dogs and cats
end up in shelters because there aren't enough homes. Shelters like the Humane
Society of Durham Region help get these animals out of the cold and placed
with caring families.
