Instead of staying home and pondering the prospect of a dateless
Valentine's Day, Torontonians are invited to meet their match at the most
unique singles event in the city - Habitat for Humanity Toronto's sixth annual
Singles' Build.
It is a day of fun and philanthropy that offers participants a chance to
meet Mr. or Ms. Right; gain new skills; and, make a hands-on difference in the
community by building affordable housing with families living below the
poverty line.About Habitat for Humanity Toronto
Founded in 1988, Habitat for Humanity Toronto is a non-profit,
non-denominational Christian housing organization. Habitat welcomes all people
without discrimination to join us as we build simple, decent, affordable homes
in partnership with low-income families. One hundred percent of all
administrative and fundraising costs are paid for by the operation of three
ReStores, which sell donated, quality new and gently-used renovation
materials. Habitat for Humanity has built more than 225,000 homes with
families in need in over 100 countries. Every 21 minutes, Habitat for Humanity
builds a new home.
