MONTREAL, April 4 /CNW Telbec/ - Due to a very high volume of patients,
the Montreal Heart Institute (MHI) is asking people to avoid its emergency
department as much as possible for the next 24 hours. The MHI would like to
reassure the public that it will continue to provide emergency care.
The MHI thanks the public for its cooperation and invites people to
contact their regional Info-Santé for advice or referral to the nearest
network-clinic or drop-in clinic. For contact information on regional
Info-Santé services, please consult the ministère de la Santé et des Services
sociaux Web site (www.msss.gouv.qc.ca).
Founded in 1954, the Montreal Heart Institute constantly aims for the
highest standards of excellence in the cardiovascular field through its
leadership in prevention, ultra-specialized care, training of professionals,
clinical and fundamental research, and assessment of new technologies. It is
affiliated with the Université de Montréal.
