Sierra Wireless provides world's smallest global mobile broadband USB modem to SoftBank Mobile

The Sierra Wireless Compass(TM) 888 USB modem provides high-speed mobile
    broadband connectivity for notebook computers in an easy-to-use, compact
    designVANCOUVER and TOKYO, Nov. 12 /CNW/ - Sierra Wireless (NASDAQ: SWIR - TSX:
SW) and SoftBank Mobile today announced that the new Sierra Wireless
Compass(TM) 888 USB Modem will soon be available exclusively in Japan to
SoftBank Mobile customers.
    The Compass 888 is the first Sierra Wireless PC adapter to be available
in Japan, with an expected launch date in December. Selling in Japan as the
SoftBank C01SW USB modem, the Compass 888 will deliver high-speed wireless
access to SoftBank Mobile's 3G network for notebook computer users, providing
a convenient, reliable connection for mobile professionals and consumers in an
industry-leading small form factor.
    With potential top download speeds of 7.2 Mbps on an HSPA network, users
can access the Internet and collect their email, even with large attachments
like presentations or photos, quickly and easily over SoftBank Mobile's
high-speed mobile broadband network. The Compass 888 USB modem is backward
compatible with UMTS, EDGE and GSM networks around the world, providing the
freedom to roam.
