VANCOUVER, Dec. 11 /CNW/ - Energem Resources Inc. (the "Company"), is
pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Energem Biofuels Ltd,
has been presented with the 2008 Frost & Sullivan Award for Strategy
Leadership in the South Africa Biofuel Feedstock Market. This award recognises
the Company's innovative strategy, which has seen it build market share in the
biofuels sector.
Frost & Sullivan particularly praised Energem's commitment to
environmental stability in using as a feedstock Jatropha, which is not
suitable for either human or animal consumption and which is to be grown on
land not suitable for the cultivation of food crops. Also singled out for
praise was the Company's leveraging of its experience and contacts in African
business, gained in over 20 countries and across a diverse range of
activities.
Frost & Sullivan concluded that:
"Operating in the agricultural industry poses many challenges for local
and foreign investors. Energem has strategically leveraged its position in the
energy sector to access the opportunities in Mozambique's biofuel sector."
