PORT COQUITLAM, BC, June 27 /CNW/ - Jysk Linen 'n Furniture today
announced a voluntary recall on the EVA BABY CRIB, article number: 7016004.
The crib is constructed of white painted wood, and measures 134cm x 77cm x
87cm. It was manufactured in China from July 2005 to December 2005 by Astralis
A/S Denmark. The retail price was between $178 and $199. There were 90 units
sold at Jysk Linen 'n Furniture stores Canada wide from July 2006 through June
2007.
Following a customer complaint, testing was initiated. It was found that
the vertical wood spindles on the crib sides could be bent to allow a space of
greater than 60 mm, posing a possible risk of entrapment. No injuries have
been reported.
As children's safety is a top priority, Jysk Linen 'n Furniture asks that
consumers immediately stop using these cribs, and return them to the store of
purchase for a full refund.
